Coming Workshops

In the Spring, the weekend of April 19-20, we will welcome back to town one of our founding members, Gail Vick Barnhardt, who will teach Foundational letters. Then, she will teach a small advanced class the day after the workshop. Foundation!

Before that class, Carol Henshaw is offering a 2-Saturday Introduction to Foundational on March 8 and 15. Class size is limited; sign up as soon as possible.

Past Workshops

Gail Vick Barnhardt came in the Fall of 2007 and taught an Italic refresher, Neuland, and a "Master class" on design.

Our Summer Mini-Workshop was brought to us by guild member Carol Henshaw.
In "Positively Pencil!", we explored various uses of pencils in calligraphy.

Spring 2007 Workshop - April 14 & 15 - Nancy Culmone came!
She lead us on a Decorated Letter Quest.

Winter 2006-07 Play Day - January 27, 2007 at Nazareth College

Our Second Annual Play Day was a Huge success, with a full house (including two guests). We loved playing with the sumi marbling, canvas and acrylics, transfers, and "accordia-gami" book.

In September 2006 Roann Mathias presented a wonderful workshop introducing two techniques: lettering on fabric and transferring images to fabric. Acrylic paints and inks were used on canvas and muslin fabric.

In April 2006 we hosted Carrie Imai and had a wonderful time makng "Playful Letters".

In January 2006 we held our first annual Play Day, making paste paper, tin can pens, watercolor backgrounds, and just playing with paints, inks and paper.
