Gail Vick Barnhardt offer a series of five monthly classes in 2008.We had a learned a lot, basically working on our own projects and techniques.
We are pleased to announce the Spring 2009 workshop to be presented by Sharon Hanse. Sharon is an accomplished calligrapher who has been teaching at many guilds across the country and at International Conferences. This is a workshop for all levels of experience. It is a technique workshop which will bring out your creative side in a relaxed and helping environment. With all that’s planned it’s sure to be fun.
The workshop committee has listened to your responses to our questions. Because of this no new teaching will be done on Sunday morning before 11:00 AM or everyone being there (whichever comes earlier). This time will be used as hands on time to work with the concepts learned and to get individual attention from the instructor.
In planning this workshop we have taken into consideration the hard economic times which we all face and have kept the cost reasonable. Hope you can join us!

Spring 2009, Sharon Hanse taught Dimensional Calligraphy, using cut paper techniques, cut-and-fold, embossing. We had a great time learning and aharing.

In the Fall, on October 11, member Toi Clawson will teach Colored Pencil Techniques. On October 12, we will offer a Fall "Play Day"; bring supplies and ideas to work on; several demonstrations will be offered.

Winter 2007-08 Play Day - January at Nazareth College
Gail Vick Barnhardt came in the Fall of 2007 and taught an Italic refresher, Neuland, and a "Master class" on design.
Our Summer Mini-Workshop was brought to us by guild member Carol Henshaw. In "Positively Pencil!", we explored various uses of pencils in calligraphy.
Spring 2007 Workshop - April 14 & 15 - Nancy Culmone came! She lead us on a Decorated Letter Quest.
Winter 2006-07 Play Day - January at Nazareth College
Our Second Annual Play Day was a Huge success, with a full house (including two guests). We loved playing with the sumi marbling, canvas and acrylics, transfers, and "accordia-gami" book.
In September 2006 Roann Mathias presented a wonderful workshop introducing two techniques: lettering on fabric and transferring images to fabric. Acrylic paints and inks were used on canvas and muslin fabric.

In January 2006 we held our first annual Play Day, making paste paper, tin can pens, watercolor backgrounds, and just playing with paints, inks and paper.
